Blacksburg, VA

@ Chateau Rug Boy, 607 Mabry Lane, Blacksburg VA

Tatsuya Nakatani returns to Blacksburg with his percussion-driven sound art -- think drums, gongs and energy marshaled in the service of contemplative beauty. It's a sound world that's all Tatsuya's own, patiently developed over many years, and many many many miles of touring. A sonic wanderer like no other.

Jessica Stiles plays trad folk, often upon guitar and concertina.

Kaily Schenker (Price's Fork) and Mike Gangloff (Ironto) will play a short set of cello and fiddle duo music.

Doors are 7pm and music will start at 7:30 -- it's a Monday night folks, so working people hours.

Donations to help traveling musicians are very appreciated.

And here's an important note about parking:
We will not be able to receive a large volume of cars on the property, therefore, only people with mobility difficulties should park at the house. Everyone else, please continue another half mile down Hightop Rd (instead of turning onto Farmview) until you reach the Huckleberry Trail. On your right you will see Huckleberry Lane, where you will find a gravel lot. Please park here, at the gravel lot on Huckleberry Lane and Hightop rd, in a neat diagonal row. Please be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists using the trail, and leave room for any other vehicles to use the road (there are folks living further up).

From there, it is a short walk north on the Huckleberry Trail to Chateau Rug Boy. The entrance to the property will be marked and on your right, behind a bench, and before the trail crosses Mabry Lane. Follow the path over the river and through the woods. Here is a google map of your journey on foot from the parking lot at Hightop Rd and Huckleberry Lane to the bench:
